Raid protection depends on security purchases

Mansion Additional Security reduces the risk of raids on owned businesses. Rockstar says that risk is eliminated when the respective business's Security upgrade has also been purchased. Keep both conditions in mind when checking your protection. A Safehouse in the Hills update notes.

Check the protection you already have

Our recommendation is to check your mansion security and the security upgrade at the business you want to protect. The documented benefit depends on those purchases; simply owning a mansion does not establish the full protection condition.

Keep sales and raids separate

This security benefit concerns business raids. It should not be treated as protection from other players during a delivery. For choosing where to run a sale, use the private-session business guide.

Check before spending

This reference explains the documented security condition. A purchase decision also needs the current property and upgrade costs, the businesses you own and the time you expect to use them. It does not establish that a mansion will pay for itself through avoided raids.
